1229 King St
Delivering in Fall 2024, this boutique community of 12 condominium homes at 1229 King Street will consist of large, loft-style 1 and 2 bedroom condos. The homes will feature high ceilings, oversized windows, Bosch appliances, and custom wood cabinets. Along with the highly desirable location, the large roof deck with sweeping views of Old Town and the Masonic Temple is the crowning jewel of these condominiums.
The Aidan
Delivering in Fall 2024 is an exciting addition to the Old Town landscape—The Aidan, a 94 unit luxury condo building. The Aidan will offer a unique blend of modern luxury and timeless elegance with soaring windows and high end finishes throughout. These upscale condos will feature a collection of junior 1-bedroom, 1-to-2-bedroom, and penthouse floor plans. Many units include balconies with courtyard or cityscape views. Coming soon, six luxury townhomes located one block from the Potomac River in the southeast quadrant of Old Town are coming soon to the corner of Duke and Union streets. These impeccably designed, spacious 3,400 sqft, 22’ wide townhomes with high ceilings will offer four levels of luxurious living with elevators, 2-car garages, large rear patios off the kitchen, and large rooftop decks. The homes will offer 4BD with 4.5BA and will start at $3-3.2M.

TideLock
The Tide Lock project, formerly the home of the American Physical Therapy Association, is slotted for delivery in 2026 and will include the conversion of three brick office buildings into 240,000 square feet of residential, retail, and arts space. According to the developer, Tide Lock will become an iconic luxury condominium and multifamily lifestyle community. Situated directly along the Potomac River, the buildings will have full panoramic views of the Washington, DC skyline, with 223 residential units atop a 217-space parking garage. Masonry Lofts
Originally constructed in 1847, this historic building at 515 N. Washington Street was originally home to the Mount Vernon Cotton Factory. In 1903, the Robert Portner Brewing Company converted it into a bottling facility! Now, this four-story industrial property will be home to Masonry Lofts 25 condo lofts with tons of historic charm and rich design detail. Architectural features include original exposed brick and iron beams in each unit. The open-loft units, with 12’ ceilings, are complemented by high-end, contemporary finishes and wood floors. Masonry Lofts will include everything from studios to two bedrooms plus den units. Studios start at $350K and two-bedroom units start at $800K.
GenON Plant
The iconic GenON Plant at 1400 N Royal St is destined for a mega-makeover. Hilco Redevelopment Partners plans to erect residential buildings, offices, retail, and expansive green areas. For more on this multi-year planned development, click here.
The Towns of Abingdon Place
Situated directly on North Washington Street, The Towns of Abingdon Place offers three-bedroom luxury townhomes that feature an in-home elevator, open concept layout, rooftop terrace, and a two-car garage, providing a functional framework to beautifully designed homes that fit perfectly with the architectural styles of Old Town Alexandria. Deliveries are expected in mid-2020 with prices expected to start at $1,400,000. Great and easy access to G.W Parkway, Washington National Airport, and the shops and restaurants of Old Town. Waterman Residences
At 901 N Pitt St, Waterman Place is slated for demolition by Carr Companies. A new structure with housing, arts and retail, and underground parking will replace it.
Montgomery Center
At 800 N Royal St, the Montgomery Center’s facelift starts in 2024. The renovation will displace small businesses and force The Art League to search for relocation. New plans hint at a performance space, retail, and residential units. Learn more here.
PT Blooms Project
Situated at 805 N Columbus St, PT Blooms is erecting a five-story residential building, comprising 78 units. Expected completion is late 2024. Learn more here.
Robinson Landing North
High-end condos, retail, restaurants, and park space are planned for Robinson Terminal North at 500 and 501 N Union St; however, environmental concerns remain at the site. Plans call for: public space and park space along the shoreline of the Potomac River that will connect Oronoco Bay Park and Founders Park for pedestrians and bicyclists. A new building on the east side of North Union Street that will have 49 condo units and space for a restaurant and/or retail with outdoor seating. A new building on the west side of North Union Street with 39 units and retail on the ground floor. There will be 88 high-end condominiums on the site, and 206 total parking spaces for condo residents and the public.
Multifamily building at 301 N. Fairfax Street
A new multifamily building is coming to Old Town’s historic district. The project plans to remove a surface parking lot, provide undergrounding of utilities, exceed stormwater management requirements, meet the city’s green building policy and increase housing supply. The three-story office building will turn into a four-story multifamily building. The multifamily development project will be surrounded by office, retail, and residential uses. Two of the 48 units will be set aside as affordable housing. The project will include a 67-space underground parking garage, over 10,000 square feet of private open space, and streetscape improvements. Learn more here.

Townhomes at Gibbon and S Alfred Street
14 townhouses are coming to Old Town’s southwest quadrant at 816-820 Gibbon Street and 608-614 South Alfred Street. The townhouses will replace an office building and surface parking area while providing two-garages for each home, a 1,600-square-foot parklet, streetscape and pedestrian improvements, and contributions to affordable housing and the public art fund. 1201 E. Abingdon Drive
An office-to-residential conversion in Old Town North is set to move forward with plans from The Pinkard Group. Just east of the George Washington Memorial Parkway and south of Hilco’s redeveloping Potomac River Generating Station sits 1201 E Abingdon where Pinkard plans to transform the office into multifamily instead..The converted building is set to include 29 two-bedroom units, 100 one-bedroom units, and 7 studios. The project would set aside 7 of the new units as dedicated affordable housing, per the more recent application documents. Learn more here.
