Allison is the COO of The Goodhart Group and the driving force behind keeping the team operating at the highest level. Alongside her mom, Sue, she leads the team with a hands-on, client-focused approach, ensuring that every buying and selling experience is seamless and personal. With a deep passion for real estate, Allison prides herself on guiding clients through one of life’s biggest transitions with expertise, care, and, of course, a touch of fun!
Real estate is in Allison’s DNA. Growing up in Alexandria, she spent her childhood helping her Realtor parents, Sue and Marty, with marketing efforts—going door to door planting signs and flags throughout her childhood neighborhood of Del Ray. By the time she was 18, she had earned her real estate license, assisting The Goodhart Group whenever she was home from college. During one memorable summer break, she had the incredible opportunity to work directly for Barbara Corcoran—“New York’s Queen of Real Estate” and Shark Tank investor—an experience that reinforced her drive and business acumen.
After graduating with honors from Dickinson College in 2008, Allison dove headfirst into the family business, mastering every role within The Goodhart Group before stepping into her leadership position as the co-lead agent and COO of The Goodhart Group and Executive Vice President at Compass. Beyond helping clients achieve their real estate goals, Allison is constantly refining The Goodhart Group’s systems and processes to ensure a smooth, seamless experience for every client—from first introductions to long after closing.
Her extensive industry knowledge and innovative approach to real estate earned her national recognition in 2015 when Realtor Magazine named her one of its “30 Under 30.” In 2022, she was further honored as one of Alexandria’s “40 Under 40” by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. A highly respected voice in the industry and sought-after real estate expert, Allison has spoken at numerous real estate conferences, and appeared as a real estate authority on CNN’s The Situation Room, CBS Mornings, Good Morning Washington, and Let’s Talk Live. Her insights have also been quoted in major publications, including The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and Curbed DC.
Beyond her leadership at The Goodhart Group, Allison is exceptionally well-connected within the real estate community, both locally and nationally. She has cultivated strong relationships with top agents and brokers nationwide, giving her clients an edge whether buying in the DC area or relocating elsewhere. She believes that real estate is as much about relationships as it is about transactions, and she takes pride in being a trusted resource for colleagues and clients alike.
Allison is also deeply committed to her community. A longtime member of the Junior Friends of The Campagna Center, she has co-chaired significant fundraising events and held leadership positions, including Public Relations Chair, New Member Chair, and Treasurer. She has also been actively involved in The Fund for Alexandria’s Child for many years.
Outside work, Allison enjoys spending time with her two boys, Brooks and Wesley, playing tennis, exploring new restaurants, attending live music and sporting events, and unwinding with a great glass of wine. She loves being by the water and traveling whenever possible, and she is always fascinated by how people live, work, and play in different communities.
With her deep experience, strong industry connections, and warm, approachable nature, Allison makes real estate feel effortless for her clients. She offers the guidance, expertise, and support they need at every step of the journey.
