Stonegate History

Researchers believe that the land on which Stonegate was built was settled by Native Americans between 3,500 to 1,000 BC! Civil War history abounds at nearby Fort Ward Park.

Stonegate Real Estate

Stonegate consists of nearly 500 units among four small townhouse communities and one garden-style condominium complex. Condos and townhouse residences, built in 2000, range from approximately 1,500-2,800 square feet. The Colonial-style townhomes are three-story residences, which include a basement and an attached two-car garage. The typical floor plan offers three upper-level bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. In 2023, Stonegate townhomes sold from the low-mid $700Ks to the low $900Ks.

Stonegate Community

Stonegate offers many amenities and is conveniently located near parks, dining, shopping, and commuter routes. It hosts annual social events for the community, including a chili cook-off,  appetizer contests, and an annual party for resident dogs. 

Stonegate Entertainment

Stonegate residents can walk to Fort Ward Park, a former Union Army fort built to defend Washington, DC during the Civil War. Today, it is home to a walking path, museum, as well as concerts and events. Signature Theatre and the movies, shops, and restaurants in Shirlington are just a short drive away.
