The National Trust for Historic Preservation designated Barracks Row a Main Street, which has spurred the revitalization of the neighborhood.
Barracks Row Community
Barracks Row Main Street organization sponsors many community events such as a Fall Fest and Garden Party. The historic US Marine Corps Barracks (known as “8th & I”) offers Friday evening sunset parades during the summer months, which include performances by the United States Marine Band.
