Great Restaurants in DC with DJs

July 12, 2024 | Inside Washington {Metro} | By: The Goodhart Group

Sometimes the DC dining scene can feel a little stuffy! If you’re looking for good vibes without sacrificing good food, look no further. These spots all have DJs – at least on the weekends!

Shoto

1100 15th St, NW

This super-luxe sushi and Japanese izakaya restaurant located in Midtown Center includes ambient “pulse music” spun by a live DJ and curated by the restaurant’s dedicated music director. Here you’ll also find an “ice chef” carving out centerpieces for specialty cocktails. On the menu, you’ll find plenty of ways to splurge from the Japanese wagyu steak menu, caviar service, rare wines and sakes to tuna akami tacos, specialty maki rolls, lobster with spicy ponzu butter, and much more.

Grazie Mille

1100 15th St, NW

Grazie Mille (a thousand thanks) brings hospitality, cocktails, music, and bar bites together in one experience worth a thousand smiles. This moody cocktail bar (attached to Grazie Nonna) offers Italian-American fare and is based on the northern Italian cocktail hour or “apericena” that tends to spill over into dinner. You’ll find a live DJ spinning vinyl Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Kyojin Sushi

3315 Cady’s Alley, NW

From Wednesday to Sunday you’ll find non-traditional Japanese dishes, a vast sushi selection, and unusual cocktails. Fresh fish is flown in overnight from Japan so the menu changes daily based on what is available. You’ll find late-night seatings and DJs spinning Thursday through Saturday.

El Centro DC

1218 Wisconsin Ave, NW

This lively Mexican cantina and tequila bar located in Georgetown offers innovative Mexican dishes and hand-crafted Latin cocktails in an expansive 2-story space complete with an open-air back patio. Dance the night away every weekend with live DJs spinning bachata & more.

Balos Estiatorio

1940 N St, NW

At the crossroads of legendary hospitality and unmatched culinary expertise, you’ll find Balos offering a rotating menu inspired by Greek seafood, spices, and seasonal fare. This Michelin-rated restaurant brings the vibes with dinner Thursday – Saturday with a DJ that begins at 8 pm.

Phillipe Chow

635 Wharf St, SW

Enjoy Beijing-style cuisine with sweeping views of the Potomac River. With a heavy emphasis on an unparalleled dining experience, guests can enjoy the many signature dishes such as Chicken Satay, Salt and Pepper Lobster, or the legendary Peking Duck (which is carved tableside and served on house-made pancakes). Rotating DJs will add to the already memorable experience and keep you in the restaurant long after your dinner is finished.

Mercy Me

1143 New Hampshire Ave, NW

Located inside the Yours Truly DC Hotel in Washington DC, the Southern American-inspired Mercy Me blends the elements of a restaurant, bar, and lounge seamlessly. You’ll also find a permanent outdoor pop-up space/bar which transforms with the seasons 4 times a year. Friday and Saturday find DJs spinning Brazilian and African beats, Colombian classics, and groovy vinyls in the dining room.

Lyle’s at the Lyle Hotel

1731 New Hampshire Ave, NW

If you’re looking for a DJ at brunch Lyle’s is the spot for you. Every Saturday and Sunday from 11 am – 3 pm you’ll find bottomless bubbles and bloody marys along with uplifting  DJ sets and of course a great time!

Le Mont Royal

1815 Adams Mill Rd, NW

This French Canadian neo-bistro and disco in Adams Morgan “creatively transforms highbrow into lowbrow… and vice versa.” Think poutine with fois gras, Canadian oysters with a stout mignonette, and a damn good burger. Their food and drink menu changes frequently, so you’ll always find something fresh and new.

Daikaya Izakaya

705 6th St, NW

On the first floor of Daikaya, you’ll find a ramen shop, and on the second floor you’ll find the izakaya – note the ramen is not available on this floor, but you will find DJs every Friday and Saturday night along with Japanese comfort food and a diverse selection of bar offerings.
