Introducing the Compass Make Me Sell Program (AKA, the Everyone Has a Price Program!)
Have you ever thought that in the back of your mind you would move, if only someone would pay X amount of money for your home? What if you could float a number and you didn’t even have to put your house on the market or sign a listing agreement? That’s where the Compass “Make Me Sell” program comes in.
With this program, we can privately enter a “make me sell” price for our clients and friends in our personal Compass database, visible to no one but us.
WHO IS THIS PROGRAM GOOD FOR?
Imagine you have thought about moving but prefer to wait a year or two, are looking for the perfect move-up or down opportunity, or just don’t think you can afford to move based on market value. But, if you know that you would sell your house if it could sell for a certain price, you would move in a heartbeat.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE PROGRAM?
If you let us know your “make me sell” number, our team will enter that number in our private Compass database, visible only to us. For now, we just keep that information on record in case we find a buyer looking for that type of property.
But, here’s where it gets a little more exciting! Our tech team at Compass is almost ready to launch technology that will allow Compass agents to search for properties with Make Me Sell prices across other Compass agents and their clients. The address, name, and contact information will never be visible! Only your agent who entered the Make Me Sell price will be able to see it.
WILL MY PRICE, NAME OR INFORMATION BE VISIBLE ANYWHERE?
No. If a buyer agent sees a match for a certain neighborhood, number of beds/baths, type of property and price, they would see a reference number for the house and can contact us regarding their interest. Everything is very discreet and private. We would then approach you to see if you had interest in showing your home, or not. No pressure!

HOW DOES THE DATABASE WORK?
Imagine a Compass agent has a buyer looking for a 3 bedroom townhouse in Old Town. Currently, they will see the following:
- All 3 bedroom townhouse properties active on the public market
- All 3 bedroom townhouse properties that are Compass Private Exclusives (off MLS)
However, in the coming months, they will also be able to see:
- All contacts in their own agent network (friends and clients) who own a 3 bedroom townhouse in Old Town.
- The names of OTHER Compass agents who have a client with a 3 bedroom townhouse in Old Town in their CRM and those with Make Me Sell prices. The client’s name and address will not be disclosed for confidentiality. They will have a client reference number to ask the agent if their client would be open to selling.
HOW DO I GIVE YOU MY MAKE ME MOVE PRICE?
