West Palm Beach, Florida has a ton to offer to tourists and visitors looking to get some fun in the Florida sun. From water adventures to tons of gorgeous waterfront dining options, West Palm Beach is the perfect escape no matter what time of year. Since the Nationals are currently nearby in Spring Training, we thought it was the perfect time to feature this gorgeous area. We chatted with our friend and fellow Compass agent Holly Meyer-Lucas who calls West Palm Beach home. Holly gave us the scoop on all things West Palm Beach including where to eat, drink, and stay.
Where would you recommend people stay for a visit to West Palm Beach?
Holly: If you are looking for a luxurious resort-style experience, we recommend you stay at The Breakers Palm Beach, the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, or The Colony. But if you’re looking to stay in West Palm Beach at a more affordable price, the Hilton West Palm Beach, The Residence Inn by Marriott West Palm Beach, and the Grandview Gardens Bed & Breakfast will provide for an amazing stay, but will be easier on the wallet!
What are the not to miss restaurants or dining experiences in and around West Palm Beach?
Holly: Some of our favorite fine dining restaurants in the area include The Circle at the Breakers, the Palm Beach Grill, Buccan, and Restoration Hardware Rooftop Restaurant. But, if you are looking to escape West Palm Beach for a night to head 15 miles north to Jupiter, Florida, Food Shack is one of our local hidden gems that will be sure to impress! In Jupiter, we also have 1000 North, one of South Florida’s premier waterfront restaurants. Back in West Palm Beach, some other favorites with great vibes are Galley, City Cellar, and Copper Blues.
Where should people visit in and around West Palm to get the true West Palm Beach experience?
Holly: To get the true West Palm Beach experience, we recommend that you head to Rosemary Square, located in Downtown West Palm Beach, which is known for its shopping and restaurants galore! In addition, West Palm Beach has an awesome nightlife scene on Clematis Street where there are plenty of restaurants, clubs, shops, as well as some pretty cool street art! After you’ve gotten the true West Palm Beach experience, make sure to check out the gorgeous Worth Avenue to enjoy upscale shopping and dining in Palm Beach, Florida.
What are some other fun or interesting things to do in West Palm Beach people may not think of?
Holly: If you are looking for a truly unique experience, you should definitely check out Lion Country Safari, and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center! These are great family-friendly options, but they are fun for the adults too! Lion Country Safari has been named the 3rd best zoo in the nation!
If water sports are your thing, our area has great places to enjoy them! Check out the Clear Kayak Tours in Jupiter, FL to kayak the beautiful blue waters of the area and to catch a close-up glimpse of starfish, manatees, sea turtles, and more!
If you are into the arts and museums, be sure to check out the Norton Museum, The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, as well as the Kravis Center!
