Lyon Park is a quaint North Arlington neighborhood convenient to Washington Boulevard, the Pentagon, and the District. It is walkable to the Orange and Silver line’s Clarendon Metro stop and offers easy access to many popular shops and restaurants.

Lyon Park History

Lyon Park was developed primarily after World War I to support the increase in population surrounding Washington, DC. Lyon Park was the first of several Arlington suburbs platted by developer Frank Lyon.

Lyon Park Real Estate

The 2,500 homes in Lyon Park consist largely of bungalows and Colonials built in the 1930s. House hunters will find some new construction Craftsman-style homes in Lyon Park as well.

Lyon Park Community

The active Lyon Park Citizens Association promotes the welfare and advancement of the community for local residents. It owns and manages the historic Lyon Park Community Center, which is home to many community events. The Lyon Park Woman’s Club often holds fundraisers and sponsors several special events as well.

Lyon Park Entertainment

Nearby Northside Social offers art exhibits, live music on the outdoor patio, pig roasts, wine tastings, and other fun events. There are three parks to enjoy within the boundaries of Lyon Park (Lyon, Clay, and Fillmore). The Lyon Park spring fair is a family friendly events with carnival games, pony rides, moon bounces, a cakewalk, face painting, cotton candy, and more.
